Bag Beat

The instructions read:

"Take the bag you received in class yesterday (or get one of your own - plastic grocery bag) and document time with it. These instructions (as always) are open to interpretation. I also wrote on the board (inspired by the movie) Music = Sound + Time?"

Well, I'm thinking, document time with a bag? What kind instruction is that? Well, those are the kinds of things you expect in this class-- so abstract makes you just want to pull your brains out. But anyway, I was about to do something unique and out of place with the bag but got so sick of "wasting time with a bag" instead of documenting time with it.

After a while I decided to just have fun with the bag. My Pro Tools recording set-up is collecting dust so what about put it to use? Well, I figured that was too much work with little return value so I just opened up Audacity (you gotta love the free stuff) and spent about 15 minutes recording random sounds using the bag. Here is the final product. All the sounds you hear come from tampering with different sounds the bag can produce (except the human voice you hear. haha).
